Since 2022, Peer Minds has grown from a community idea into a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit with expanding programs, relationships, and opportunities for MENASA communities.
Our achievements include:
Establishing Peer Minds as a nonprofit organization dedicated to culturally grounded mental health support, education, and community healing.
More than 170 men have registered for Mindful Men programming, including peer-support circles and educational conversations.
Approximately 80 women have registered for Women’s Wellness programming focused on emotional, relational, cultural, and physical wellness.
Creating safe, faith- and culture-sensitive spaces where community members can discuss mental health without feeling disconnected from their identity, values, or background.
Building relationships with mental health professionals, community leaders, grassroots organizations, and advocacy groups across New York and beyond.
Hosting and supporting conversations around stigma, suicide prevention, men’s mental health, women’s wellness, intergenerational trauma, faith, culture, and belonging.
Developing a clearer organizational model centered on peer support, education, leadership development, and community engagement.
Laying the foundation for future peer mentorship, facilitator training, and community-based mental health leadership pathways.
Peer Minds is continuing to build the people, systems, funding, and partnerships needed to serve the community responsibly and sustainably.
