Help Us Build a Mentorship Program That Understands You

Navigating school, work, relationships, family expectations, identity, and personal goals can be challenging. Having a trusted peer to talk with can make those experiences feel more manageable.

You don’t have to carry it all on your own.

Peer Minds is currently developing its mentorship pilot. Joining this interest list does not guarantee or create an immediate mentor match.

A peer mentor isn't a doctor, a parent, or a teacher. They are young adults who have walked in your shoes, faced similar cultural and personal challenges, and have been trained to provide a safe, confidential space for you to talk.

A Peer Mentor is someone you can talk to about:

  • Dealing with family expectations and cultural identity.

  • Anxiety, stress, burnout, or feeling overwhelmed.

  • Navigating school, relationships, or career pressures.

  • Overcoming feelings of isolation or looking for a sense of belonging.

We know how scary it can be to reach out. We take your privacy very seriously.

  • Peer Minds will ask mentors and participants to respect one another’s privacy. However, mentorship is not legally confidential therapy, and information may need to be shared when there is a serious safety or safeguarding concern.

  • A Judgment-Free Zone: There is no backlash, no shame, and no community gossip. Your story is safe with us.

1. Fill Out a Quick Request Form: Takes 5 minutes.

Share a little bit about yourself and what you are experiencing. You only share what you are comfortable with.

2. We Find Your Match: Thoughtful selection.

Our team reviews your request and pairs you with a mentor who matches your background, interests, and needs.

3. Say Hello: First connection.

Your mentor will reach out via email or text to introduce themselves and set up a comfortable time to chat, either virtually or in person

Is this therapy? No. Peer Minds does not provide clinical therapy or medical treatment. If you need professional psychiatric or psychological help, we can help connect you to trusted resources, but our mentors are here to provide lived-experience peer support, guidance, and community.

How much does it cost? Nothing. Our peer mentorship programs are completely free for youth and young adults.

How often do we meet? It depends on what works best for you and your mentor! Most pairs meet or chat once a week or every two weeks, via video call, phone call, or text.
